liquida
crawling out of my skin and back into it again
A solo work that takes place on a 7m x 2m ramp. It also deals with the theme of shame, but in an even more abstract form and with a more specific focus on bodily fluids. I have explored the embodied aspects of shame, such as posture, blushing, gut feelings and the transformation of body qualities (solid-liquid). In the course of the performance the performer transforms from a stiff, solid body to a more fluid, permeable and liberated body. Just as fixed concepts and ideas that we know can also be more fluid and changeable than we might think. The piece works with slow motion and the concept of resistance and letting go, which was emphasised by the steep incline of the ramp.
